Huntington Hartford II (the late A&P heir, and the man responsible for changing the island's name from Hog Island to Paradise Island) bought the property in 1962 to create a 52-room hotel and golf course -- Ocean Club. The swanky property attracted members of royalty, and notable names like Zsa Zsa Gabor and William Randolph Hearst.In October 2016, a hurricane swept across Paradise Island in the Bahamas, destroying the club heavily. Jeffrey Beers International was invited to redesign One&Only’s Hartford Wing. 重塑Hartford Wing这一经典历史建筑是一项荣誉。因此，JBI在设计时一直关注如何在保留起历史感的同时，能体现度假村的内涵，打造私密与舒适的空间，并融合周边的自然环境。 It was a privilege to renovate the historic Hartford wing. Therefore, JBI desired to ensure the spirit of the resort, which was once a private and comfort estate, retained its rich history while also providing a fresh palette with hues taken from the natural surroundings. 
JBI在保留原有建筑风格和整体形象的基础上，将每间客房额外增加了九英尺（的宽度）,并将建筑正面改造成正面落地窗让房间的海景最大化地延伸。无边际露天泳池旁点缀着休闲凉亭和宽大的躺椅。浪漫的开放花园，通过喷泉、灯笼、绿植和凉亭，被赋予了浓厚的英式乡村情调，给住客带来私密与惬意的体验。 Without compromising the original character and feel of the building, JBI were able to add 9' to the guestrooms. The facade was completely opened up with new wall-to-wall/floor-to-ceiling glass doors to maximize the stunning ocean views. The sleek new infinity pool is dotted with floating cabanas and lavish daybeds. The romantic open-spaced Garden, are identified as a classic English country yard by decorated with fountain, lanterns, landscaping and trellises, bringing an intimate and private atmosphere to hotel guests. 
客房与乡村别墅加入了现代的元素，简洁的线条，奢华的图案。JBI有意选取了奢华但是不会隆重的材料，比如实木和暖色调的石头，来打造轻松舒适的氛围。家具、饰品、和定制灯具也都按照居家的风格来选取，让客户感觉在家一般的自在。为了把大航海风格融入每一个空间，客房采用胡桃木天花板配以白色的木质横梁，再用定制的玻璃吊灯用铜制的绳索从墙上吊下来。让整个房间看上去如同是船上的休息室。Guestrooms and cottages are also designed with modern, clean lines and luxurious textures. JBI purposely selected luxurious but not imposing materials, such as rich woods and warm-toned stone, to create a relaxed atmosphere. The furniture, case goods, and tailored lighting were also designed with a residential aesthetic to make guests truly feel at home.In order to bring a nautical twist into each space, JBI designed the Walnut plank ceilings with white wood cross-beams and custom glass pendant lights hung from cast bronze rope give the rooms the feel of a ship's sleeping quarters.
