The New Work Project in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY, opened its doors on July 1st 2017 and has become the workspace to be for freelancers, solopreneurs and business teams working in the creative industries. Housed in a former foundry, it is a ground-breaking undertaking from the Brooklyn based interior design studio, The New Design Project, and the brainchild of husband and wife team, James Davison and Fanny Abbes.
Black lacquer, marble and gold; natural wood, white rugs, greenery, books and statues; simple yet unconventional, it is an environment created in order to produce and promote… thought. In creating this inspiring environment the designers turned to an eclectic mix of iconic items, to custom furniture designed by The New Design Project, as well as items that are the result of creative collaborations with other local Brooklyn designers.

The entrance greets those who enter with the name of the members-only workspace understatedly printed upon the black lacquered wall behind the white-marble concierge desk. This opens into the lounge area where guests and creatives are welcomed inside by a no-nonsense take on old-fashion love seats - these in dusky gray tones - placed opposite wicker-backed chairs.
