The Escola Britânica de Artes Criativas or EBAC - British School of Creative Arts - located within a building designed by Brazilian architect, Isay Weinfeld, aptly sits in San Paolo, Brazil's bohemian, Vila Madalena neighborhood. It is a school - in association with the University of Hertfordshire in England - where Brazilian students can study “abroad” without having to leave their own country and one of the latest interior design projects by FORM, an architecture firm located in Moscow, Russia.
The building was designed to awaken and cultivate art within its students, a place where simplicity of design hides true complexity. Basic geometric shapes, the building blocks of creativity, abound, with the intense feeling of it having been created to be a playground for grown-up kids.

Photo by Sara De Santis. Vila Madalena, or Vila, is known for its vibrant street art culture. In homage to this, the school boasts the first horizontal graffiti in San Paulo, an original idea by FORM bureau realized in collaboration with painter, Cristiano Kana. Painted on the ceiling of the terrace, it features large, black circles, extending over the back garden and far over the entrance, thereby immediately brining the dynamic surrounding community into the school. Meanwhile, the graphic identity of the school was realized by Kiko Farkas Studio; this includes the interior's color scheme as well as the innovative use of huge numbers displaying the building's different stories as an artful "navigation system."
Abstract patterns abound and include those of the furniture designed by FORM with the Brazilian company MAC. Spy windows and carefully placed, glass partitions give glimpses o
