Part of a commercial development in Melbourne’s central business district, Peaches Cocktail Bar immerses guests in a lush, playful environment of peach hues and sumptuous textures far removed from the austere steel and glass urban fabric where it’s located. Conceived by local design practice Pierce Widera as an “alternative peach universe”, the venue’s indoor area is an oasis of Art Deco-inspired sophistication while the rooftop terrace’s cooler colour palette and beach-bar vibe screams “Summer!”

Swathed in pastel peach and pink hues from top to bottom, from the metallic ceiling structure and exposed brick walls, to the velvet upholstery and checkered floor tiling, the space is a haven of candy-coloured bliss. Suspended circular pendants resembling ripe peaches among hanging plants intertwined with the roof beams whimsically enhance the peach-infused ambience which is complemented by green accents such as the green veined onyx bar top, moss green stools and the oversized Philodendron leaves. Bespoke candy-coloured terrazzo table tops and large arch-shaped mirrors that echo the curved backrests of the semi-private booths further imbue the bar with playful sophistication, while shiny brass detailing adds a sense of luxuriance. At night, when pink spotlights hit the disco ball, the space sparkles in candy glamour tapping into an 80’s disco vibe.
