　　嘉鱼，以鱼命名，出自《诗经.小雅.南有嘉鱼》。嘉鱼地属咸宁，“咸”全部也，意为全天下安宁。然而苏派建筑园林的安宁、静谧、隽永。二者之间似乎也有这些许微妙的关联。

　　游走于一个现代人所需的功能空间，我们不想把太多符号化的元素东西放到室内。带着这样的思考，留园的考察给了我们太多的启发。

　　“游走于宁谧”这种动与静看似相悖的二者，恰好是游走于留园时给我们带来的真切感受。变化无穷的建筑空间，藏露互引，疏密有致，虚实相间，旷奥自如。这种空间上收放自如的精妙，我们贪婪的用到了项目空间的规划中。在空间上是一种传承的话，那麽在形态上是一种破立，在意识上达到一种融汇。
　　"Walking in tranquility" seems to be contrary to the dynamic and static, which is exactly the real feeling we get when we walk in the garden. The ever-changing architectural space is characterized by the mutual attraction of hidden and exposed, the density, the alternation of virtual and real, and the freedom of being broad and abstruse. If it is a kind of inheritance in space, it is a kind of break in form and a kind of fusion in consciousness.

　　当发现屋脊不在空间中，这在传统建筑中难以容忍。构架是中国古典木结构建筑最重要的组成部分。在传统建筑体系里，它并没有被隐藏，重点部位反而被刻画强调，直观地表现在外观上。原始的建筑空间留给我们的不对称性，在带来困惑的同时也带来更多的思考。
